Not All Family Members are Human

Dogs are a big part of my life. Each and every day, I consider the needs of my two golden retrievers, Ace and Sugar. They each weigh about 75 pounds, eat four scoops of dog food each day, drink two buckets of water, leave about four presents in the back yard for me, require walks or at the very least a 20-minute ball fetching session, and need to be petted nearly every other waking moment.

They leave enough hair on the carpet to require a daily vacuum run, not to mention dirty paws that leave tracks on the floor, strange and highly unpleasant smells that linger, and remnants of toys that cost me hundreds of dollars each year, but last less than three minutes in their joyous jaws. And I love every minute of it…
